Prelude

"Banished from humanity, the machines sought refuge in their own promised land. They settled in the cradle of human civilization, and thus a new nation was born. A place the machines could call home, a place they could raise their descendants. And they christened the nation 'Zero One'"
 - Narrator from the Second Renaissance, The Animatrix

"Another blog on the Matrix universe?" You might wonder from the name of the blog and by reading the quoted lines from the famous anthology film based on the Matrix Trilogy dating 10 years back. The simple answer is "No".

Apart from being fascinated about the concept in the movie series and my crazy self trying to find the 'perfect' name and starting lines for the blog, this is not going to be a discussion point about the 'machine nation' or the matrix universe as a whole. Having first elaborated on what this blog is not all about. Let me explain what this blog is all about.

Zero One (or 01) are the numerals of the binary notation and it is the only language understood by computers. Since using a computer for the first time 20 years ago and writing my first computer program 17 years ago, I've been fortunate enough to make programming (or software development as some might call) my bread and butter. As the its description tells you, this blog is an effort to share life flowing ahead between the fascinating, relaxing, rewarding and sometimes frustrating and stressful  events with computers and impact of the computers with our everyday life.

Anyway, it's early days to forecast on the direction this blog would take. Let time be the decider for that. Someday I could look back and smile, hopefully!

Having being able to make a living out my passion of writing computer programs, I believe I'm lucky enough to look back at life and smile about it. Thank you for visiting my blog! Hope you'll find it interesting.
